Wingfors Commits to Sussex

The Sussex Soccer program is pleased to announce the signing of Matilda Wingfors to the Fall 2026 Women's Soccer Team. Wingfors is a left-footed left winger from Sweden who brings energy and impact in the attack. Strong, direct, and creative, she is a wide player who can add pace, toughness, and goal danger to Sussex this fall.  Head coach Mike Rath added, "We are delighted to have Matilda join our soccer family.  She will bring a great attitude and is always looking to push herself and grow her game, while helping the team as much as possible.  She can play wide or centrally, and I think that her versatility will help us compete well nationally and allow this program to take the next step in its development.  I can't wait to start working with her and the rest of the girls when we start in August."

Matilda joins Pauline Chabanois, Kendra Deckert, Jolen Stoner, Lottie Cheverton, Sarah Melgar, Jocelyn Considine, Brooke Driver, Zoe Hocke, and Alissa Menu in this year's recruiting class.
